The Delphi archaeological site and museum are located on Mount Parnassus, near the Gulf of Corinth, in Central Greece. They are about 185 km from Athens.
You can reach the Delphi location by the public intercity KTEL buses, rent a car, or opt for guided day tours with round-trip transfers. KTEL buses depart 4 to 5 times a day from Liosion Station (Terminal B). If you decide to go by car, you can take the E75 motorway, followed by the EO48 to get to Delphi.
The KTEL buses take about 3 hours to cover the distance from Athens to Delphi. If you decide to drive down, it is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour journey.
The quickest way to reach Delphi from Athens is to either rent or hire a car or book Delphi tickets, which include direct, round-trip transfers.
The most affordable and budget-friendly way to reach Delphi is by the KTEL intercity buses, which will cost you around €15 one way. If you opt for guided day trips, transfers to and from Athens are included in your ticket price.
There is no parking at the main Delphi archaeological site or the museum. You can park your car on the main street in Delphi town or at the Sanctuary of Athena Pronaia parking lot. Both locations are free but parking spaces might be limited.
